Is Free enough for me?

Yes, if you are one person (or a household / study group) organising your own material, and you stay inside the figures above: up to 10 projects, 2,000 documents in total, 2 custom agents, and 300 API calls a day. That covers everyday personal use — side projects, notes, research, a personal agent or two.

You will need a paid plan if…

you want to serve docs on your own domain, you need the audit log or SSO for a workplace, or you regularly exceed the daily API allowance. Those are the things the paid plans add — see below.

Currency and tax / 通貨・消費税の取扱い

Every amount on this page is in US dollars (USD), and it is the amount charged — monthly or yearly, according to the billing interval you choose when you subscribe. Our checkout submits the plan's price to our payment provider and performs no tax calculation of its own, so docspi adds no separate tax amount on top of the figures above. This page does not state whether those amounts are tax-inclusive or tax-exclusive for Japanese consumption-tax purposes. Before you confirm your order, check the amount shown on the payment confirmation screen — that is the amount that will be charged. Enterprise is quoted individually: its amount, currency and tax treatment are whatever that quotation and contract set out.

The project, node and custom-agent limits are enforced: once you reach one, creating another returns an error until you free up space or move to a higher plan. Node counts apply to your whole account, not to each project. The built-in spid agent every account receives is never counted against the agent limit.

We do not charge per person and we do not enforce a member limit on any plan, including Free. The paid plans differ in the quotas and governance features listed above, not in how many people you invite.

Custom domains are not part of the Free plan. Publishing under docspi.ai is unaffected and has no domain requirement. If you connected a custom domain while the Free plan still included one, it keeps working and keeps serving up to 50 documents.

Pro and Team can be paid monthly or yearly, in USD. Where a per-month figure is shown beside an annual price, it is the annual amount divided by twelve — the annual plan is charged in full once a year. How tax is handled is stated in Currency and tax below.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Free plan really enough for personal use?

For most personal use, yes — 10 projects, 2,000 nodes, 2 custom agents, 300 API requests a day and 20 publishes a day, free forever and with no credit card. It is not a trial: nothing expires. You will run into the paid plans if you want your own domain, need the audit log or SSO for a workplace, or exceed the daily API allowance.

What happens when I reach my plan limits?

You keep full access to everything you have already created, but the API rejects requests to create another project, node, or custom agent until you delete something or move to a higher plan. Pro raises the ceiling to 50 projects, 20,000 nodes and 10 custom agents; Team to 500 projects, 200,000 nodes and 25 custom agents.

How many agents can I create?

Two on Free, ten on Pro, twenty-five on Team, and 250 on Enterprise by default (adjustable by contract). The built-in spid agent that every account gets is not counted, so it never uses up a slot. Creating one agent past the ceiling returns a 403 error rather than silently succeeding.

Is Team charged per person?

No. Team is one price for the whole workspace — $29 a month or $288 a year — regardless of how many people, or how many agents, you add. We do not count seats anywhere in billing.

Can I pay monthly?

Yes. Pro and Team can each be paid monthly or yearly; you choose when you subscribe on the Billing page. Monthly is $4 for Pro and $29 for Team. Yearly is $36 and $288, charged in full on the day you subscribe and on each renewal date, which works out at $3 and $24 a month.

Can I serve my docs on my own domain?

On a paid plan, yes: Pro includes one custom domain, Team ten, Enterprise 9,999, and we issue the TLS certificate automatically. The Free plan cannot add a custom domain, but it can publish documents under docspi.ai with no restriction on that. If you connected a domain while Free still included one, it keeps working.

How do I get the Enterprise plan?

Email [email protected]. Enterprise is not available for self-service purchase — in-app billing covers Free, Pro and Team. We agree the scope, price and setup with you directly, including SCIM provisioning, invoice payment, and any hosting requirements you need to put in writing.

Can I cancel my subscription?

Yes, from your billing settings at any time. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep the plan until the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not pro-rate refunds for the unused part of a period.

Do you offer discounts for startups or open source projects?

We consider it case by case. Email [email protected] with details about your project — there is no published program or fixed discount, so the answer depends on the specifics.
